Noel Radford, the father figure in Channel 5's hit show 22 Kids and Counting, has been fined after failing to provide his details following an alleged speeding incident.

The dad was accused of driving at 52mph in a 40mph zone near his Lancashire home. Prosecutor Malcolm Isherwood informed Lancaster Magistrates' Court that Radford's Porsche was caught on camera speeding along the A683 Bay Gateway in Torrisholme, Morecambe, on November 6 last year. Despite receiving a letter and a reminder about the incident, the 53-year-old failed to respond, according to Mr Isherwood.

Representing himself in court, Radford pleaded guilty to failing to give driver identification details. Dressed in a grey jumper, blue jeans and trainers, he offered no further comment to the bench.

He was handed six points on his licence and a £900 fine. Chair of the bench Kevin Kendall told Radford he had received credit for his guilty plea.

Radford, from South Road, Morecambe, had previously pleaded not guilty to a charge of speeding following the incident last November. However, Mr Isherwood told the court the Crown Prosecution Service would offer no further evidence on the charge, which was subsequently withdrawn, reports .

The case had initially been listed as a trial. Radford had been due to appear in court on September 2, but the case was adjourned after he failed to attend.

Radford has been ordered to pay a surcharge of £360 and costs of £200, totalling £1,460, which he agreed to pay in three monthly instalments. He was given until January 2025 to settle the full amount, with Mr Kendall cautioning the TV personality that the court could resort to 'other means' to recover the money if it wasn't paid by then.
