The Ministry of Education has invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Director in various Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IITs) established under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. These vacancies have been released in IT institutes located in Nagpur, Sri City (Chittoor), Kota, Lucknow, Kottayam, Tiruchirappalli and Guwahati. The selected director will serve as the academic and administrative head of IT.
Interested candidates can apply online through the application form available on the official websiteand. Online applications will start from November 4 and the last date is December 3, 2024, till 11:59 pm.
IIIT Recruitment 2024: What is the educational qualification?
The candidates applying should have a PhD degree. Also, their academic record should be excellent and they should have at least 7 years of experience working as a professor in any recognized educational institution. However, if a qualified candidate demonstrates his exceptional ability, then experience is not necessary for him. At the same time, the age of the candidates applying for these posts should not be more than 60 years.
IT Vacancy 2024: Required Documents
Candidates are required to submit copies of their Bachelor's, Master and PhD degrees, as well as the NOC certificate of their current employer before the last date of application. Candidates should note, that applications which are incomplete or do not include the required documents will be disqualified. The selected candidates will be appointed on a contract basis for 5 years or till the age of 70 years of the candidate, whichever is earlier.
IT Jobs 2024: Salary Details
The candidates selected for these posts will get a salary of Rs 2,10,000 per month as per the guidelines of the 7th Pay Commission. Along with this, they will also be given a special allowance of Rs 11,250. Apart from this, other allowances will also be given to them as per the rules set by the institute.
