There is news for candidates wishing to apply for JEE Main 2026. Registration for the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 will begin soon this month (October). The notification for the JEE Main 2025 January session, including registration and exam dates, will be released in October. The National Testing Agency will conduct the JEE Main 2026 exam in two sessions: the first session in January and the second session in April. Once the registration process begins, candidates will be able to apply by visiting the official website.
To apply for the JEE Main January session 2026, candidates must visit the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in and click on the JEE Main January session registration link. Enter the details in the application form and upload the required documents. Pay the application fee and click Submit. Save and print the PDF copy of the JEE Main 2026 application form.

Before the JEE Main registration process, the NTA issued an advisory for candidates to update their Aadhaar card, UDID card, and category certificate. The NTA notification states, "In order to streamline the JEE Main 2026 process, all eligible candidates are advised to update the following documents before applying for JEE Main 2026 to avoid any discrepancies, complaints, or rejections later."

Aadhaar Card - The Aadhaar card must contain the correct name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), latest photograph, address, and father's name.
UDID Card: The UDID card must be valid, updated, and renewed as needed.
Category Certificate: The category certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC) must be updated and valid.
