Taiwan's major manufacturing company, Foxconn, has pledged to invest ₹15,000 crore in Tamil Nadu, creating 14,000 quality jobs. Tamil Nadu Industry Minister TRB Raja shared this information in a post on Instagram on Monday. He stated that this is the largest engineering jobs deal ever for Tamil Nadu and a major boost for the electronics and advanced manufacturing sector. Foxconn will bring value-added manufacturing, R&D, and AI-based technology operations to Tamil Nadu.

Industry Minister TRB Raja said that Foxconn's India representative, Robert Wu, met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and expressed confidence in Tamil Nadu, promising significant investment. Additionally, Tamil Nadu's investment agency, Guidance, will manufacture Foxconn desks for the first time in India, making work easier and faster. "We are setting the stage for the Dravidian Model 2.0," he said.

The announcement came after Wu met Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at his residence, Kaveri, in Bengaluru on Sunday. They discussed expanding Foxconn's presence in Karnataka and exploring new manufacturing and technology opportunities. Foxconn has operations in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana.
