Delhi Free Things Rules: The BJP government has returned to Delhi after 27 years. BJP has formed its government in Delhi by defeating Aam Aadmi Party in the 2025 assembly elections. Rekha Gupta has been made the new Chief Minister of Delhi. Many things are being run for free for the people of Delhi by the previous government of Delhi i.e. Aam Aadmi Government. Even after the change of government, there has been no change in those things. However, there has been a change in the conditions related to those things. What are the conditions to be followed now to take advantage of the free things available in Delhi. Let us tell you.

Conditions changed regarding free travel

The then Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal had announced free travel in buses for women in the year 2019. Due to the decision of the then Delhi government, women can travel anywhere for free through DTC buses. This scheme has not been stopped by the new Rekha Gupta government of Delhi either. Even now, women of Delhi get the benefit of free travel facility in the bus.

However, now the conditions for this free facility have been changed in Delhi. Earlier, women of Delhi had to take pink tickets to travel free in DTC buses. Now it will be changed by the Rekha Gupta government of Delhi. Now instead of pink slip, digital cards will be issued to women by the government. That means, without that card, women will not be able to travel freely.

Free electricity will continue to be available

Free electricity facility is available to the people of Delhi from the Delhi government. The government gives 200 units of electricity free. Delhi residents are still getting this benefit from the government. However, those who use more electricity than this do not get the benefit of free electricity from the government.

Those who consume less than 200 units of electricity do not have to pay the bill through subsidy. Above 200 units, up to 400 units, a fee of Rs 4.50 per unit is charged. After which Rs 6.50 has to be paid for each unit.
