Tobacco Banned in Metro Train: In view of the increasing complaints of chewing and spitting tobacco, the metro has now decided to impose a fine on those passengers who consume tobacco inside the premises.

Metro Train News: Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) announced on Wednesday that passengers consuming tobacco products in the metro premises and trains will be fined. BMRCL said that for this, patrolling will be intensified during peak hours. According to this, this step has been taken keeping in mind the complaints of passengers consuming tobacco, spitting and spreading dirt.

A plan has been made to search passengers by touching them

Tobacco products cannot be detected by the metal detecting machine 'metal detector', so BMRCL has planned to search some passengers by touching them at all metro stations. BMRCL said in a statement, 'Platform security guards will be sensitized to identify such passengers. The central security monitoring room has been instructed to monitor the behavior of passengers and immediately inform the concerned platform security personnel in case of any violation.

Strict monitoring will be done at metro stations

Now strict monitoring will be done at all trains and metro stations and guilty passengers will be fined as per BMRCL rules. BMRCL will also run a campaign to explain the importance of not consuming tobacco products in the metro premises. The statement said, "BMRCL appeals to all passengers for cooperation. This step of BMRCL can prove to be an important step towards making metro travel in the city more clean and safe. Now passengers will have to ensure that they do not use tobacco products in the metro premises, so that others do not face problems and the metro travel experience is better for everyone.
