There is important news for the candidates who wish to appear in the BPSC 71st CCE exam. Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has revised the date of the 71st Integrated Combined Competitive Preliminary Examination 2025. Originally scheduled to be held on September 10, this exam will now be held on September 13. An official notice has also been issued in this regard. Candidates can check and download the schedule by visiting the official website.
The Commission also informed that the Assistant Section Officer, BPSC (Preliminary) Competitive Examination under Advertisement No. 37/2025 will be held on September 10 instead of September 13.

Recently, BPSC has added 34 vacancies in the 71st CCE, after which the total number of vacancies to be filled through the examination has become 1,298. Candidates with graduation or equivalent degree and fulfilling the age limit prescribed as per the post are eligible to appear in this exam.
Will there be negative marking in the prelims exam as well?
Yes, there will be negative marking for wrong answers in the preliminary exam. It will have 1/3 negative marking for wrong answers.
The BPSC CCE preliminary exam serves as a screening test for the main exam. It is taken using objective type multiple choice questions. The duration of the preliminary exam is two hours, during which the candidates have to attempt 150 questions.
