After clicking on this link, people are redirected to a fake website. After that, the payment is taken. Apart from this, many times the users' phones are also hacked through the link, and personal information is stolen.

How to identify real and fake e-challan

On clicking the link with the message of the real challan, that link redirects the users to the government's official site https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in. The link to the fake site is something like this https://echallan.parivahan.in/. In this, .gov.in has been removed.
