In a powerful address that stirred national pride and sent a stern message across borders, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the Indian Air Force (IAF) for its rapid and precise execution of Operation Sindoor. Speaking at Bhuj Air Force Station in Gujarat, Singh revealed that the IAF neutralized Pakistan-based terror infrastructure in just 23 minutes—“the time it takes to finish breakfast,” he said, applauding the air warriors for their exemplary speed and accuracy. The Minister emphasized that this bold operation not only dismantled enemy targets but also showcased India’s military prowess on a global stage.
Operation Sindoor: Swift, Strategic, and Global in ImpactRajnath Singh described Operation Sindoor as a turning point in India’s counter-terrorism strategy. During his visit to Bhuj—one of the key air bases along with Srinagar and Pathankot—the Defence Minister addressed the personnel, commending their role in the high-precision airstrike. The Bhuj base, notably one of the installations targeted by the Pakistani military last week, was at the heart of strategic military activity.
“Whatever our Air Warriors did in those 23 minutes has made every Indian, whether in India or abroad, immensely proud,” Singh stated, highlighting how the operation had captured the attention of the global defence community. “This was not just a counter-terror operation; it was a declaration that India will respond with force and precision when provoked,” he added.
Strong Words for Pakistan and IMFRajnath Singh’s remarks were not limited to praising the IAF. He also used the platform to issue a stern warning to the international community, particularly the International Monetary Fund (IMF), urging them not to provide financial assistance to Pakistan. He asserted that any aid extended to Pakistan could potentially be diverted to fund terrorism against India.
“The IMF must reconsider any financial package to Pakistan. That money might not go into economic development, but rather into the hands of terrorist organisations operating from its soil,” Singh cautioned.
During his earlier visit to the airbase at Badami Bagh Cantonment in Srinagar, Singh accused Pakistan of deceiving India repeatedly and condemned its continued support for anti-India elements. He pointed out that while India is among the nations that contribute to the IMF to assist poorer countries, Pakistan has reached a stage where it is reliant on loans to sustain itself—a stark contrast that underlines India’s growing global stature.
Rajnath Singh’s statements come at a time of heightened tensions along the Line of Control and the International Border, following a fresh surge in cross-border hostility. His visits to Srinagar, Bhuj, and Pathankot reaffirm the government’s commitment to national security and its resolve to counter terrorism at all costs.
