The 75-year-old cricket pundit was seen jumping and running around with the IPL pet, seemingly having found a new friend in the tournament. The clip of the ‘Little Master’ playing with Champak has gone viral on social media, with the IPL’s official social media page also releasing a video of it on X (formerly known as Twitter).
This was another moment where fans got to see the fun side of the 1983 World Cup winner, who is usually known for his serious insights on the game and unapologetic criticism towards players and teams. It is safe to say that, although Gavaskar might have retired from the game a long time ago, he still carries the same energy and joy he had during his glory days.
