After a long wait, Manoj Bajpayee’s much-loved spy thriller The Family Man is finally making a comeback. The Raj and DK-created series, known for its mix of action, humour, and emotion, is set to return with a brand-new season that promises higher stakes, new challenges, and deeper emotional conflicts. Fans can expect Srikant Tiwari to once again struggle to balance his double life as a government agent and a family man while facing dangers that hit closer to home than ever before.
Teaser confirms Srikant Tiwari’s return
The makers announced the return of The Family Man with a witty and engaging teaser that perfectly captures the show’s signature tone. The clip opens with Priyamani’s character Suchitra updating fans about the Tiwari family — Dhriti is now in college, and Atharv has started learning ballet. The moment quickly turns chaotic when Srikant, played by Manoj Bajpayee, interrupts everyone with his loud off-pitch singing.
As his colleagues and family attempt to quiet him down, he finally reveals, “Aa raha hoon main,” confirming that the new season will begin streaming from November 21, 2025, on Prime Video across 240 countries and territories.
The Family Man Season Plot and Casr
According to the show’s creators, Season 3 will push Srikant beyond his limits, forcing him to navigate personal and professional crises like never before. As per Variety, Raj and DK explained, “The hunter becomes the hunted, as Srikant faces a threat unlike any before, in the form of Rukma — one that endangers not just him and his career, but his family too.” They added that the wait would be worth it, promising “high-octane action, a gripping narrative, riveting performances, and an elevated, edge-of-the-seat experience.”
Joining the cast this season are Jaideep Ahlawat as Rukma and Nimrat Kaur as Meera, who step in as key antagonists. The returning ensemble includes Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Gul Panag, and Sharad Kelkar, ensuring the same blend of heart, humour, and intensity that defined the show’s earlier seasons.
The series continues to be helmed by Raj and DK under their D2R Films banner, alongside Suman Kumar and Tusshar Seyth as co-directors. The makers have promised a more expansive storyline that explores threats from both within and beyond India’s borders.
Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, told Variety, “The Family Man has redefined long-format storytelling, becoming part of everyday conversations, social discourse, and the broader cultural zeitgeist. The upcoming season promises an even more thrilling ride, with its signature blend of humour and action backed by stellar performances from the ensemble cast.”
