Gurugram faced massive traffic snarls and waterlogging on Monday evening after heavy rainfall lashed the city for hours, leaving many commuters stranded. Social media was flooded with complaints about severe congestion caused by the downpour.
Key areas, including Tulip Chowk, Malibu Town, Bilaspur Chowk, Mahavir Chowk, Narsinghpur FOB, Rajiv Chowk, Signature Tower, Galleria Market, and IFFCO Chowk, were among the worst affected by waterlogging.

According to the district administration, on September 1, 2025, different parts of Gurugram recorded varying rainfall levels:
The IMD predicted "Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain or thundershowers" for today. Temperatures are expected to range between 24.0°C (minimum) and 27.0°C (maximum).
Tomorrow’s forecast is similar, with "partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers", according to IMD.

Meanwhile, Delhi recorded daytime temperatures between 29°C and 31°C, and night temperatures between 22°C and 24°C. Winds were easterly at 10–15 km/h in the morning, rising to 15–20 km/h in the afternoon, and shifting southeast at 10–15 km/h in the evening.
Skies remained mostly cloudy with occasional light to moderate rain or thundershowers. IMD also reported a chance of isolated heavy rainfall during the morning or late morning hours.
