Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Former Minister Girraj Dandotia was seriously injured after his scorpio collided with a bus coming from opposite direction on Wednesday.

The crash was so severe that both Dandotia and his PSO (Personal Security Officer) were badly hurt.

The accident occurred late at night when his Scorpio collided with a bus coming from the opposite direction near Torika village on National Highway 552 in the Kailaras police station area.

After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the minister to the district hospital for treatment. However, due to the seriousness of his condition, he was referred to Delhi for further care.

According to information, Dandotia had attended a wedding in Kailaras and was returning to his residence in Morena. As he approached Torika, a private bus from Chambal Company came from the wrong side and crashed into his Scorpio.

The crash was so intense that Dandotia got stuck inside the car. Both the bus driver and conductor fled the scene, and nearby people helped rescue the minister and his PSO.

The police arrived shortly after the accident and took the minister to the district hospital. Doctors confirmed that the minister had fractures in both his legs.

He was referred to Delhi, but there was no ambulance available at the district hospital to take him.

For nearly four hours, Dandotia remained at the hospital until District Collector Ankit Asthana arrived and arranged an ambulance. Eventually, an ambulance from Gwalior arrived, and the minister was taken to Delhi for further treatment.

It is concerning that even for a former minister, there was a delay in providing an ambulance. This raises questions about the state of healthcare services in the district.

After the incident, SDM Bhupendra Singh confirmed the accident and stated that the minister had received initial treatment.

He added that the delay in the ambulance was due to the accident, but the situation was later handled, and the necessary arrangements were made.
