Massive Cutouts Of MS Dhoni Unveiled In Vijayawada
The celebration of his birthday had already begun with a huge cutout being installed in Vijayawada. In a video that surfaced on social media on July 6, 2025, the huge crowd assembled as fans held posters of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), with Dhoni wearing a South Indian outfit in one of those. Dhoni enjoys a huge fan following in South India mainly due to his association with the Super Kings since 2008.

MS Dhoni's cricket record
Dhoni, with 17,266 international runs, 829 dismissals, and 538 matches for India across all formats, is one of the greatest players the world has seen.
In 350 ODI appearances, he amassed 10,773 runs at an impressive average of 50.57. His record includes 10 centuries and 73 half-centuries, with a highest score of 183*.
Remarkably, he achieved over 10,000 runs while batting lower down the order. He is India's sixth-highest run-scorer in ODIs, with only legends like Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs) ahead of him. Dhon i s also the only Indian captain to win all ICC trophies.
In the longer format, Dhoni played 90 Test matches, scoring 4,876 runs at an average of 38.09, including six centuries and 33 fifties, with a career-best of 224. He ranks as the 14th-highest run-scorer for India in Tests.
As Test captain, he led India in 60 matches, achieving 27 wins, 18 losses, and 15 draws, a win percentage of 45%. He remains the only Indian captain to whitewash Australia in a Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, doing so in both the 2010–11 and 2012–13 series.
