Vivo X Fold 5, Vivo X200 FE Confirmed To Launch In India Soon: What To Expect

Vivo X Fold 5 and Vivo X200 FE are all set to launch in India soon, the company has confirmed. Vivo has started teasing the arrival of both the smartphones in the Indian market. The Vivo X Fold 5 was unveiled just last week in the Chinese market and it is now all set to launch in India soon. This comes just when Samsung is also gearing up to launch its foldable smartphones in the Indian market next week, with pre-reservations having already begun.

Vivo took to social media to announce the imminent arrival of the Vivo X Fold 5 and the Vivo X200 FE.. An exact launch date has not been announced, but Vivo is likely to reveal it any time soon. The Vivo X200 FE design and specifications have been released by the company in a newsroom postahead of launch.  It is likely to be a rebranded Vivo S30 Pro Mini that was announced in China last month.

Vivo has confirmed that the X200 FE will launch in the Indian market in Amber Yellow and Luxe Black colour options. The Vivo X Fold 5 specifications and design are expected to be similar to the one announced in the Chinese market.

The upcoming Vivo X200 FE is likely to come with a punch-hole display with slim bezels and a triple rear camera setup at the back with one 50-megapixel main camera, one 50-megapixel telephoto lens, and a third 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The phone will run on FunTouch OS 15, have a 6.31-inch display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor, and a 6,500mAh battery with 90W fast charging support. There will be several AI-powered features like AI Captions, Circle to Search, Live Text, and Smart Call Assistant. It is said to meet IP68+IP59 water and dust resistance. The Vivo X200 FE will be 7.99mm thick and support Google Gemini.

Vivo has made an official landing page for the Vivo X Fold 5 in India. The phone will be similar to the Chinese variant unveiled a few days ago. It will have a book-like opening and feature an 8.03-inch flexible inner display and a 6.53-inch outer display. It will pack a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging support.

The Vivo X Fold 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.  The phone is listed to be IPX5 dust and IPX8=IPX9 water resistant. The model will weigh 217 grams and be only 4.3mm thick when unfolded. The Vivo  X Fold 5 is likely to have a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, 50-megapixel main sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. Up front, there will be 20-megapixel sensors in the inner and outer display.
