A 4.1 magnitude felt in Atlanta, Georgia, has rocked multiple states and caused homes to terrifyingly shake on Saturday morning.
Several southern US states were rocked by the quake, which originated near Greenbeck, Tennessee, around 9am today according to the US Geological Survey. This earthquake hit 13 miles southeast of the city near the Tennesee-Georgia border but the terrifying tremors spread hundreds of miles and were felt as far as North and South Carolina.
A person in Atlanta shared their scary experience this morning on X, saying: "First ever earthquake you could actually feel in Atlanta. Whole place shook for nearly 10 seconds. Absolutely nuts."

Another person on X wrote: "I’m tripping or we just had a lil earthquake in Atlanta? I know my bed ain’t shake itself."
A third person said: "Pretty certain we just experienced shaking from an earthquake in metro Atlanta. Happened about 9am EST."
There have been no reports of injuries and it is unclear if the quake has left any damage.
This has not been the first time an earthquake has struck this par of the United States. Both Tennessee and Georgia were rocked by a .
Thousands of people rushed to social media after the tremors started just after 4am. Residents reported they were woken up by the quake and their houses were shaking for several seconds.
This was followed by a 3.3 magnitude aftershock around 15 minutes later.
At the time, one person on X wrote: "This earthquake in Georgia is giving me an end of days kind of feeling. This doesn’t happen in the south."
