Charity Dingle could not hide her concern on on Thursday night, after learning a bombshell about her daughter
Soon the truth was revealed by none other than Debbie's father Cain Dingle, as what was really going on with her was explained. Not only that, but they got to the bottom of her shocking announcement that left her loved ones reeling.
Former character Debbie, played by actress Charley Webb, over the phone to her daughter Sarah Sugden. But when Debbie's mum Charity learned the news from her sobbing granddaughter Sarah, she too became emotional.
Not only was she angry about the secrecy regarding Debbie's life-changing news, but she seemed hurt that she was not consulted - and that poor Sarah had effectively been abandoned. With that came concern though, and soon Charity was fearing the worst.
In the episode we learned that Debbie had secretly tied the knot with her mystery new partner Chris, who she lived with in . But as well as marrying him in secret weeks ago, not telling anyone or inviting anyone to the wedding, Debbie also made another bit decision.
Debbie confirmed to Sarah over the phone that she, Chris and her son Jack had moved to . She waited until they had landed to drop the news on her, despite likely having been planning it for weeks or months.

Charity was furious with her daughter and immediately welled up over the secret wedding and relocation. The fact she clearly didn't want any of her family there, and couldn't even tell them it was all happening, left her devastated.
She wasted no time in telling Debbie's father Cain Dingle, as Sarah sobbed over it all and the fact she was hiding a health scare. Sarah had hoped to confide in Debbie and then Charity about her potential cancer diagnosis.
Instead she was silenced by not only Debbie's double lie, but also Charity's fury over it all. Charity shouted out over Debbie's news, even trying to call her to confront her but failing to get through to her.
It's then that she began to fear something was very wrong with her, with Cain also panicked. Charity said: "What if something weird's going on? I know Debbie can be a bit erratic at times and do things at the spur of the moment, but sh'ed never do something as massive as this.
"And this Chris guy let's face it, we barely know him." She then recalled their relative Belle Dingle's abuse ordeal at the hands of her husband Tom King, and she feared something similar was happening with Debbie.

But after a chat on the phone, Cain finally revealed what was really "wrong" with Debbie and what was really happening. He explained that it was actually Debbie who decided and pushed forward with the Australia move.
She decided she needed a fresh start, with Cain adding their daughter was "done" with the village - seemingly ruling out a return for the character. He then remembered how Debbie hadn't returned for Zak Dingle's funeral last year and he knew at the time it was "".
But he stunned Charity with his confession that something may have been up with Debbie for a while, and that "something wasn't right" with her when he visited her last year. Cain claimed he knew something was wrong but didn't say anything, and now Debbie has decided to start afresh in a new place with no return planned for the village.
Some viewers thought it was all a bit "weird" given Sarah was about to be diagnosed with cancer. Viewers wondered if it was to give Debbie a final exit and explain her not being there for Sarah, as others wondered if there was something else going on.
