The romance-fantasy genre, better known as romantasy, has become a social media phenomenon with over 200billion views worldwide within the BookTok community.
Fans of the hybrid genre are in luck, as new romance store Saucy Booksrecently opened in Notting Hill, selling only steamy reads. To welcome their patrons, theromantasyspecialists are also launching a book club.
The genre-specific store has experienced an incline of visits from creators and literary industry workers, with well-known British influences and The Girl's Bathroom host,Sophia Tuxford, entering the steamy beach hut on June 29 - with the viral TikTok receiving over 177,00 views.
Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, founder Sarah Maxwell shares that, due to popular demand, their concept book club Saucy Reads will be launching internationally - and much sooner that we'd hoped.

Sarah shared: "We have gotten a lot of requests for a book club. I have always envisioned Saucy Books as being a global and international, online and in-person. London's our flagship. I'm super excited to have roots here in Notting Hill. But in terms of reaching readers all over, certainly, it'll be all over the world".
Sarah confirmed that Saucy Reads will be launching in just two weeks. On July 15, romantasy fans can sign up to the genre-specific club and officially join their fellow spicy readers for new recommendations and enthusiastic discussion in a judgement-free safe-space.

And for those yet to visit the store in Notting Hill, Sarah told the Mirror: "The store design is a concept in that it'll change seasonally. So I think it'll give people a reason to come back and see the different look of the store every time I've changed it".
"So right now it's beach theme. And then the interiors will completely change, the selection of books will change. It'll be very thematic, which given so much in the genre, it means that we get to be very creative in terms of how we expose people to different romance stories".
Club members and newbies alike will be able to visit the store, interactively experience the thematic store, meet the founder and even take their purchases down the road to one of Notting Hill's many quaint cafes for an afternoon of immersive reading.
