It's been almost a month since the forward last graced the pitch, but Guardiola has recently provided an encouraging update which suggests that he could return from injury sooner than anticipated.
The Spanish tactician said: "Doctors told me five to seven weeks. He'll be back at the end of the season and for the Club World Cup will be ready."
He added: "He feels better. I said before I don’t know when [he'll return]. It’s not a comfortable injury... he’s getting better step by step. Still, he doesn't train with the team, but we will see how he does."
