Gypsy-Rose Blanchard has completely revamped her social media pages to promote her new business venture. Afterbeing paroled in December 2023, the 34-year-old, who was convicted of second-degree murder for her mother's death, has been striving to turn her life around.
She was sentenced to a decade behind bars after being arrested in June 2015 but was released nearly two years early due to good behaviour and other parole eligibility factors. As a child, Gypsy-Rose suffered physical, mental and medical abuse at the hands of her mother, which led to unnecessary surgeries and procedures.
Since gaining her freedom, Gypsy-Rose has been sharing her post-prison life on social media and through the Lifetime series Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up. She celebrated the birth of her daughter, Aurora, with Ken Urkeron 28 December 2024, coincidentally marking one year since her release from prison.
Now, she has entirely transformed her social media presence, dropping her name, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard, to instead promote her art business, blownbeauty.art. It appears that Gypsy-Rose has a passion for abstract art and is keen to share this with her thousands of followers worldwide.
She has posted numerous images of her artwork, advertising it as "one-of-a-kind abstract act using the blow dryer technique. Bold vibrant, and full of movement - no two pieces are the same."
In a welcome video, she said: "Hi everybody, welcome to my new art page. So I am the artist behind Blown Beauty Art and I'm excited to share with everybody my creations.

"I've loved paint for a very long time and I've just started getting back into it and so I'm excited to share my creations with everyone.
"Art is something that I think resonates with a lot of people because with abstract art it doesn't have to be perfect and I've never been one of those girls that coloured inside the lines type of person.
"So I'm excited to make something special for everyone. It gives me peace and it kind of centres me and so this started as a hobby and now I just I love doing it and I would love to create pieces for people during them joy and happiness.
"I think that you know in life we go through things that you know sometimes it's really hard and so if we can find one thing that brings us peace and centres us inside our soul then it's worth doing and sharing and so I am more than happy to share my passion with you guys and I hope you like it. So thank you guys, bye."
Whilst some social media users have demonstrated their backing towards her artwork, others have expressed their bewilderment over this unexpected career pivot.
One user remarked: "This has got to be a joke." Another user commented: "How and where do I buy?".
A third user declared: "God forbid this woman who wants to explore some new stuff in her life. At this point, y'all will be criticising everything."
Another user chimed in: "OK, but putting a lot aside, I am an artist and had to start somewhere. I would have been horrified if I tried to share my artwork finally, people would've reacted this way!".
