"It is thrilling. It's dark. People seem to really like that. It is really thrilling and quite exciting because I know how it ends."
As a key cast member, Charlotte admitted she feels a sense of responsibility in keeping the plot under wraps, saying: "If you're a fan of the show, it's quite a hot topic so I feel like I'm powered and it's a little bit stressful because I'm not always that discrete so I won't be talking about it on the show.", reports .
The fifth and final chapter sees protagonist Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) return to New York City, where the series first began, after leaving a trail of destruction across California and the UK.
According to the official synopsis, "Joe returns to New York to enjoy his happily ever after with Kate Galvin (Charlotte Ritchie), who's somewhat aware of his dark actions."

However, their idyllic life is short-lived, as Joe's past and his dark impulses threaten to upend their relationship.
Alongside the date announcement, Netflix unveiled a teaser that sees Joe revisiting Mooney's, the antique bookshop where he was employed in the first season.
The basement of this shop infamously served as a cover for Joe's kidnapping escapades within a chilling glass cage.
It's highly probable that this deadly cage will resurface in season five, with the final scene in the teaser hinting that Joe might find himself trapped inside it this time.
The cast for the fifth series also includes returning star Tati Gabrielle, reprising her role as Marienne Bellamy, who was the focus of Joe's obsession in seasons three and four.
You season 5 will stream on Netflix on April 24 and Saturday Kitchen airs weekdays on BBC One at 10am
