A restrained opening half saw just one shot on target, in United's favour. The home side took greater control of the game but could not find their way to threatening Dan Bentley's goal on too many occasions.

Amorim was left frustrated his side could not take advantage of their time spent in possession. The 40-year-old head coach was disappointed for his young defenders in particular give their own performances.
"They deserved a better memory from the first games," said Amorim after the game. "Tyler played really well. Also Amass played really well.
"They deserved better because we were the better team, we played well, create chances. But in the end, one opportunity for the opponent, they score. The memories are not the best for these kids but they play quite well."
Amorim lamented his side's inability to find the back of the net. "If you look at the game, we were the better team," he said.
"But in the end, it doesn’t matter because if we don’t score goals, nothing matters. In the end what counts is the result, especially in these kinds of moments.
"We create a lot of chances, we had a game, we control the game, we blocked some good players from the opponent and one set piece changes the game and that’s it. It’s really frustrating to end the game like this."
