Nottinghamshire said they received a call at 2.03pm this afternoon and warned locals around the Tranker Lane area to avoid the scene and urged residents to shut their doors and windows. The service confirmed they were desperately working to put out a blaze after containers, at what appears to be an industrial site, were on .
The service said: "We can confirm that we currently have firefighters on scene, as well as support from @DerbyshireFRS to deal with this incident on Tranker Lane." They also confirmed that multiple firefighters from Worksop, Edwinstowe, Warsop and Ashfield Fire Station had been rushed to the scene.

An image of a huge plume of black smoke billowing over an industrial estate in the area was shared on as a local man wrote: "Explosion heard in Worksop, appears to be Highgrounds industrial estate".
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Services told The that the fire was not believed to have been caused by an explosion but cylinders on-site could have exploded as a result of the blaze.
Despite this, fire services said they received multiple reports of members of the public hearing an explosion. The cause of this fire has not yet been confirmed.
Group Manager, for the fire service,Tom Staples said: "We would like to reassure the public that we are working hard on scene to get this fire under control. The fire contains cylinders and containers, therefore is giving off a lot of smoke and occasionally a loud bang. I would like to confirm that this isn't an explosion.
"Please avoid the area where possible and if you're local, keep your doors and windows closed."
