Over 1,300 Gifts Received by PM Modi to Go Under the Hammer, Online Auction from September 17 to October 2

The Union Ministry of Culture has announced the seventh edition of the e-auction of gifts presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. The auction will run from September 17 to October 2, 2025, with over 1,300 items up for online bidding.

The auction is being conducted by the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), New Delhi. Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that gifts including paintings, sculptures, idols, artifacts, and sports memorabilia will be available for bidding on the portal www.pmmementos.gov.in.

First auction held in 2019

Shekhawat highlighted that PM Modi is the first Prime Minister to dedicate all his mementos for charitable causes. The first such auction was held in January 2019, and since then, thousands of gifts have been sold, raising funds for Namami Gange and other public welfare schemes. So far, over ₹50 crore has been collected.

Unique and top-priced items

This year’s auction features several unique pieces. Among the most expensive is a Bhavani Mata idol priced at ₹10,39,500. Other high-value items include the shoes of Paralympic medalists Ajeet Singh, Simran Sharma, and Nishad Kumar, each starting at ₹7,70,000, and a Ram Mandir model priced at ₹5,50,000.

At the other end, the lowest-priced items include a Lal Chunri with gold mirror work (₹600), a saffron robe with lotus symbol (₹800), and an orange embroidered shawl (₹900).
