BJP leaders metin New Delhi to strategize for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, as well as bypolls in various states. The meeting, held on Tuesday, was conducted in two phases, with the second phase focusing on internal party matters.
In the first phase, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda led discussions with allied party ministers to plan the election campaign for both state elections and bypolls. One of the key aims of this meeting, ahead of the winter session of Parliament, was to enhance coordination within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Notable discussions took place with Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi about bypolls in Bihar, as well as with Rashtriya Lok Dal leader Jayant Chaudhary regarding bypolls in Uttar Pradesh.
The second phase of the meeting shifted focus to organizational matters. BJP central ministers discussed the process for internal elections within the party, aiming to accelerate the election of the party's National President and to advance organizational elections across different states. Leaders also reviewed progress in electing district and mandal-level party leaders.
The meeting, led by JP Nadda and Amit Shah, lasted over an hour and a half.
