It's not Brits that flock to beaches and beer gardens when the sun comes out. It turns out, the are just as keen on catching some rays.

Even though the country gets a lot more sunshine than we do, it had a pretty dismal March. And it turns out, people get just as excited at the prospect of the added Vitamin D after a long winter.

If there's one thing you can guarantee, it's people making the most of the pleasant weather. To highlight this, a British man called Tom posted a lighthearted video from Madrid.

In the short clip uploaded to , he joked: "It turns out that you are even worse than the English people."

Reflecting on life back in the UK, Tom explained: "You see people simply enjoying the sun at the first little glimpse we get."

It was then that he sent a message to the Spaniards, adding: "It turns out you're even worse than English people because after just three weeks, you're exactly the same."

He referred to how, in London, they are used to bad weather for prolonged periods, whereas Spaniards are not, yet they still greatly appreciate it when the sun shines.

The Englishman added: "Today, at the first sign of sun, you're outside having a good time; it's not even 15 degrees, and you're sunbathing on your balcony. This shows we're not all that dissimilar, are we?"

Judging by the comments section, plenty of people agree with him. One viewer said: "I have never had so many weather conversations in Spain as in the last four weeks."

Another said: "That's true!" And a third added: "It's so unusual to have the weather we had for the most of March. We were desperate for the sun."

However, one responder pointed out there is a key difference between Brits and Spaniards. They said: "They would never lie in the sun when they are sunburnt. Or at midday!"
