Carlos Alcaraz is back in the Wimbledon semi-final and now finds himself two match wins away from lifting the trophy here for the third year running. The No. 2 seed breezed past Cameron Norrie, the last Brit standing in singles,6-2 6-3 6-3 on Tuesday and will now have two days to prepare for his showdown with Taylor Fritz.
The Spaniard is already planning a few things for his days off, but when he asked how he would get ready for Friday's match, one fan interrupted and joked that he should go to Ibiza - his favourite place for a quick holiday between the French Open and the grass season.
"Well, yeah, today is going to be great to rest up a little bit to try to be in a good state," Alcaraz said, before one spectator in Centre Court yelled and told him to go to Ibiza.
"Ibiza, I hear that, no time, there's no time!" the Spaniard laughed. Instead, Alcaraz will turn to another one of his favourite pastimes, golf.
He continued: "I'm just going to try to make the most of my time, to enjoy with my team, with my family. I have a lot of people here in London, I will try to go to the centre, I don't know if I will get the chance.
"But for sure, I'm going to play some golf to switch off my mind a little bit. I mean the things that I'm doing are working, I have to keep doing it! So I will try to go and play some golf."
Alcaraz has been out on the golf course with fellow two-time former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray over the last couple of weeks. Following his fourth-round win, the world No. 2 confessed that Murray beat him in their third and final round, making the score 2-1.
But it seems the retired British star won't be invited to his next round as Alcaraz was asked who he'd play with and replied: "With my team.
"I mean, Juan Carlos is playing great and there is the rest of the team who doesn't play golf a lot so I just laugh at them a little bit. It will be funny moments with them."
For now, the two-time Wimbledon champion is just happy to be back in another semi-final here.
He said: "It's something that I wanted to do at the beginning of the week, just be able to go as far as I can and give myself the chance to be able to play a semi-final here, it's going to be great.
"[Today] against a really difficult player like Cam, he's an amazing player, he's an amazing guy as well. I'm pretty sure there's nobody who works harder than him and just really happy to see him fighting for great things, happy to see him playing these kinds of matches and happy to qualify for the semi-final."
Alcaraz will now face first-time Wimbledon semi-finalist Fritz, who picked up titles in Stuttgart and Eastbourne before heading to the All England Club.
"He's playing great. I think the grass season for him, it's been really successful so far, two titles, semi-final here at Wimbledon so I'm just going to be ready for that battle," he explained.
