political correspondent Olivia Utley introduced viewers to the newest member of her family in a heartwarming moment on air as she shared an exciting new announcement. The new mum welcomed her four-month-old son Wilfred George Dunnett-Stone just before Christmas, and the baby boy has now made his first visit into the GB News studio as he joined Andrew Pearce and Bev Turner on the famous red sofa.
On Wednesday (May 7), Andrew Pearce introducer the little man to viewers and listeners up and down the country as Bev bounced him on her knee. He began: "Our presenter Olivia Utley has been away stepping away into a new role as a mum to healthy baby boy Wilfred George Dunnett-Stone, more affectionately known as Wilfie."
Bev gushed: "Oh Olivia, honestly, I'm not so keen with the dogs in the studio but this is my idea of heaven. He's gorgeous, thank you so much for bringing him in to see us."
Olivia announced that she was heading on maternity leave last December before revealing she would return to GB News in September 2025. The broadcaster confirmed to viewers that she will be returning to the studio in a few months at the end of summer.
She explained: "I've got a few more months left, I'm coming back at the end of the summer, so I'll be back in time for the party conferences. My birthday is the first day of the Conservative party conference, so I'll be back with a bang ."
The political expert jokingly confessed that since she has been on maternity leave, she has become "clueless about politics". Olivia told the pair: "At the moment, I barely know who the Prime Minister is. I was totally oblivious and then tuned into the local elections and it got a bit more interesting.
"This weekend, when I was reading the news for the first time, genuinely in about four months, I did start to get quite excited about coming back and seeing you all again and using my brain for something other than nap times and nappies."
The 31-year-old broadcaster went on to reveal that since she became a mum she now sees the world differently, telling the presenters: "I see things differently now I am a mum. I mean, particularly crime, the area where we live in London is an up-and-coming part of London. I have really, really noticed just how dangerous it can be in some ways.
"I've noticed the things that I turned a blind eye to before when walking down the street. The stolen Lime Bikes, the low level crime everywhere, the stuff locked in plastic boxes in Tesco because there's so much shoplifting. I've really noticed that so much more."
She added: "It makes me rethink where we want to live, where we want to settle down and about the future of the NHS. I mean, I'm very lucky I have never really been exposed to the NHS at all in my life before he was born.
"Now suddenly I've realised just how important it is. We talk about these long waiting lists for GPs etc. I was thinking about it in my job in a very theoretical, and now I really feel it. What happens if he does get ill and I have to wait weeks to see my GP?"
Fans will have to stay tuned to see the brunette beauty return to the national show later this year.
