Hang picture frame effortlessly with one 'genius' item that helps guide it to the hook

People have been left amazed after learning about a viral hack that allows you to effortlessly hang painting and frames on your walls. Moving into an empty property can often feel like a daunting experience. However, there are several ways that you can make your house feel like a home.

From picking out furniture and other decor items, there are unlimited ways you can choose how to decorate your home. However, one thing a lot of people like to do to make a property feel more home-y is to decorate the walls with pictures, paintings and other items that mean a lot of them. This not only add character to a room, but also stops the walls from looking bare.

However, hanging something on the wall can be trickier than expected, especially when you can't see if the hook is anywhere near the nail on the wall.

To help, couple Jeff and Lauren took to Instagram to share a hack they learned from one of their mums that makes hanging something on the wall a lot easier.

In the video, a woman is seen hanging a piece of string on the nail in the wall where he want to hang his frame. He then takes one end of the string and twists it around the nail.

He then gently pulls both ends of the string down with one hand until the two ends met. He then puts this through the hook on the back of the frame so that it hangs from the string.

He then guides the frame up to the nail; while also pulling the string with his other hand to make the frame go closer to the wall. When the frame hits the wall, it will hang on the nail.

To remove the string, he went on to pull on just one of the ends until the string is dragged back through the frame and nail, leaving the frame to hang neatly on the wall.

The video has racked up over 30.4 million views since it was posted onto Instagram at the end of July, and thousands of viewers have taken to the comment section to share their thoughts.

"Finally a way to save your walls and mind when trying to hang a frame of this kind! Thank you!" one person said.

"This is helpful, trying to hang a picture with a hook like that, you keep trying and trying. Lol," a second viewer said, while someone else wrote: "I wish i had seen this 2 days ago."

A fourth person shared: "I just smoosh my face against the wall to try and see the nail behind the picture and then just miss the nail about 17 times before finally getting it."

However, another user question the need for the hack as they said: "Or just hang the picture. Am I the only person with the ability to just do it?"
