A much-loved BBC comedy is set to return to TV screens later this year, the broadcaster has confirmed.
Two Doors Down began back in 2013 as a one-off special but seven series were made in total, all created and written by Simon Carlyle and Gregor Sharp.
The Scottish sitcom will now be returning with Christmas special later this year, with the residents of Latimer Crescent headind got Beth (Arabella Weir) and Eric's (Alex Norton) home to celebrate Christmas.
It's been confirmed that all of the show's characters will be returning for the special, with Elaine C Smith back as Christine, Doon Mackichan as Cathy, Jonathan Watson returning as Colin, Graeme Stevely as Alan and Joy McAvoy reprising her role as Michelle.
Jamie Quinn will play Eric and Beth's son Ian, while Kieran Hodgson will portray his fiancé Gordon.

Gregor Sharp, who has written the new Christmas special, said: "It's really exciting to be revisiting Latimer Crescent with all the regular cast for this new episode.
"Christmas is a time for getting together with friends and family and then becoming low level irritated by them so it feels like they're the perfect group to celebrate the season with."
BBC Director of Comedy Jon Petrie added: "There's something comforting about having the neighbours round for Christmas, even if they bring minor chaos. Gregor and the gang bring the warm laughs, sly digs and brilliantly petty moments that make Two Doors Down such a cracking comedy. Expect it to sparkle on BBC iPlayer and BBC One faster than Cathy can pop a prosecco."
It has been two years since the last series of Two Doors Down aired, following the death of the show's creator Simon Carlyle in August 2023.
Simon and Gregor initially penned Two Doors Down as a one-off TV special before it was commissioned in 2016. The duo wrote over 40 episodes together.
The first series drew an audience of 1.3 million when it kicked off on BBC Two in 2016, and this grew to 2.8 million when the final series aired on BBC One.
Two Doors Down won an RTS Scotland Award for Best Comedy in 2017 and 2024, while Doon Mackichan and Elaine C Smith have both won Bafta Scotland Awards for Best Actress for their roles.
