The bombshell moment LBC presenter Ali Miraj was told he was "mentally ill" by one caller into the radio show left listeners in shock. The anchor was discussing Margaret Thatcher's legacy on the 100th anniversary of her birth, with Miraj arguing she "transformed this country" - but an irate Anne insisted: "No she didn't!"
Things quickly escalated as Miraj replied: "It's going to be 100 years since she was born tomorrow, Anne, come on, have some respect, Anne!" But the caller was having none of it as she responded: "She was a nightmare, she shut all our industries, sold off all our utilities, which we're paying through the nose for and all the profits are going abroad!"
Miraj said: "Bodies were being piled high, rubbish was going uncollected, the unions were dominating this country. She had to break that. She unleashed capitalism in this country-"
Anne argued: "She did not have to break it! They just needed to make sure the management were a bit more efficient instead of being useless."
The host said: "She was the best prime minister this country's had in the last 100 years, Anne," as Anne laughed: "Oh my God! You're joking!"
He insisted: "No I'm being absolutely serious," and was told in no uncertain terms: "Well I think you're mentally ill."

Miraj stated: "Maybe I am slightly deranged, Anne, but I tell you there are lots of people in this country that would absolutely agree with me and lament the fact that we don't have a leader who actually knows what they're doing.
"And if it's not autocracy and it's not Nigel Farage, what is it? Are you putting your faith in democracy?"
