Commuters in London faced major delays on Tuesday morning. Moreover, several London Underground lines faced severe delays, while motorists trying to use the Blackwall Tunnel were experiencing "horror journeys", our sister title MyLondon reports.
The disruption in the tunnel appeared to be due to CCTV not working northbound, with commuters moving painfully slowly and reportedly remaining at a standstill for 20 minutes at a time. Shortly before 8.30am, the tunnel was reopened northbound. Disruption on Tube lines continued during rush hour.
