M4 traffic LIVE: Chaos on major UK motorway after 'serious' crash sparks delays

Drivers are facing travel chaos on a busy UK motorway this afternoon after rushed to the scene of a "serious" crash in Wiltshire.

Queues are building on the after a collision between Swindon and Hungerford. Local diversions are in place and it is not yet known how many people are involved in the incident, or the seriousness of their injuries. Live traffic cameras show cars at a standstill.

A post on the website reads: "The M4 Wiltshire is closed eastbound between J15 (Swindon) and J14 (Hungerford) due to a collision. Wiltshire Police are in attendance. Delays are likely on approach to the closure and diversion routes."
