Man Utd 'offered three players' as Jadon Sancho transfer saga takes twist

Juventus have offered Manchester United three players in exchange for Jadon Sancho as discussions continue over a summer transfer, according to reports. The Serie A giants are leading the race for Sancho's signature, but they are believed to require him to accept a pay cut if they are to complete any deal.

Juventus may be in the driver's seat, but the 25-year-old winger's £250,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford is proving problematic in attempts to offload him. Fenerbahce were reportedly ready to meet Sancho's wage demands as Jose Mourinho focuses on bolstering his attack.

However, the United outcast is said to prefer a move to the Serie A, and Juventus are the leading suitors after Napoli bowed out of the running due to the finances involved.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Juve have no problem meeting United's asking price for Sancho, believed to be in the region of £25million.

Though the Old Lady currently are not willing to match his eye-watering earnings as talks with his representatives continue.

Romano adds that during negotiations with United, Juventus have opened the door for three players to join the M16 giants in a potential exchange.

It's claimed that the Italians have offered Douglas Luiz, Tim Weah and Dusan Vlahovic to sweeten a deal for Sancho.

United reportedly have not yet responded to that proposal and could prefer straight cash amid attempts to boost Amorim's budget.

Luiz left Aston Villa for Juventus in a £42m deal last summer but has struggled to settle in Turin. A Premier League return could appeal to the 27-year-old.

Weah is as versatile as they come and would be capable of operating as a striker, winger and wing-back in Amorim's 3-4-3 system.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese head coach reportedly wants to sign a new striker to join Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in his new-look attack.

Vlahovic is one of the more high-profile goalscorers on the market, netting 107 times in 253 appearances for Fiorentina and Juventus.

United could consider Juve's offer, considering there is hope they can raise further funds through the sales of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.

But Sancho will need to lower his salary demands to secure any move.
