Disney+ is currently streaming a musical comedy that has drawn comparisons to KPop Demon Hunters - and fans of the Netflix show may want to check it out.
Originally broadcast on Disney Channel, Electric Bloom is a coming-of-age series chronicling the ascent of a three-piece girl band who first encountered each other during their school years.
The official synopsis states: "Electric Bloom follows the three members of the now mega-famous pop group, Electric Bloom, as they look back and tell the story of their band and friendship, starting with the day they all met in high school.
"The girls go on a journey to becoming the biggest band in the world and the best friends in the universe."
The comedy stars emerging talents Carmen B. Sanchez, Lumi Pollack and Ruby Marino, who portray the eponymous girl group, reports the Mirror.
Behind the camera, the sitcom features experienced television veterans. Boy Meets World alumna Danielle Fishel is amongst its directors, alongside Robbie Countryman, who gained recognition for his contributions to the popular sitcom Melissa and Joey.
Given the series has only recently arrived on the streaming platform, online reviews remain scarce, though early viewers have offered enthusiastic endorsements.
Writing on IMDb, one admirer declared: "Electric Bloom is my favourite tv show...I love the music and the songs. I like all the characters from the show and the show is so funny and hilarious. I have to say that this show is awesome compared to the other Disney Channel shows."
The same enthusiast expressed aspirations that the programme would "go on for years".

Another fan echoed the praise, saying: "I love the songs they made and how they became friends, and their music. I like bands and their members it just feels like [watching] a life story but in the process."
Meanwhile, social media users have drawn parallels between the show and KPop Demon Hunters.
"Electric Bloom just reminds me of KPop Demon Hunters right now," one viewer noted.
However, some have argued that the Disney series only bears resemblance to the Netflix film due to its musical theme, but it actually "feels more like Hannah Montana".
