
Noel Gallagher has shared that his favourite song remains the same and will "always" top his list.
The musician was asked to name his favourite track from the band, which also features and Bonehead, and it seems his choice is a popular one among fans too.
The Gallagher brothers are set to tour as Oasis for the first time in 16 years, starting with a show in Cardiff.
However, before they hit the road, fans were curious to know which song from the Gallagher brothers' discography is 's favourite.
For him, it's a classic tune that's sure to be performed live. When asked about his favourite track, Gallagher confirmed it would "always" be a song from their 'Definitely Maybe' album.
Speaking to Radio X, he said: "It's always going to be Supersonic, Always. Just for how it came about that night and it still sounds amazing to me when I hear it."
He went on to recall the circumstances surrounding the creation of the song, saying: ""I just remember the circumstances of we were going to record Bring It On Down, 'cause Alan McGee wanted it to be our first single and we couldn't get it right and we had one more night left In the studio and someone goes to me, 'Why don't you just go and write another song?'"
He added: "Oh just like that!' And I did." Gallagher says McGee "freaked out" when he first heard the song, and it continues to impress even the Oasis member himself all these years later.
Gallagher has hailed 'Supersonic' as a track that "still got the magic for me," hinting at its enduring appeal and superior aging compared to his other works.
Oasis enthusiasts on Reddit have pinpointed overlapping preferences in Oasis tracks between Liam and Noel, despite the siblings typically choosing diverse personal favourites.
Notably, a measure of harmony is apparent in their solo endeavours, with both Gallaghers' live shows frequently embracing tunes from their early days as a band.
