A travel expert has revealed the moment she witnessed a mother book herself into Business Class for her flight, while her children sat in economy. user Helen McPherson, who goes by the name shared her shocking story when dealing with an airline passenger. Discussing the inside secrets of passengers' flight habits, McPherson recalled a bizarre incident while she worked for a company specialising in travel and her dealings with a high-end client.

She told how she worked with a woman who booked top-of-the-range seating for herself but was separated from her children, who were in the lowest class. Her childminder was also placed in economy next to her children while the parents lapped up the luxury in business class. She said: "A couple of years ago I worked for a travel company selling tickets and someone came through on the line and they said they needed to add someone onto their booking.

"I noticed that there is her and the husband in the highest class you could get and then she had her two children, and one of them was a baby, in the economy class".

Not wanting to point out the obvious in a rude way, the TikTok user said: "I don't know if there is a problem with the booking, but I've just noticed the seating isn't matching up".

She further explained that she told the woman: "You're actually in a completely different coach to your children but I can rectify that today."

The user went on to explain how the woman immediately told her no and to proceed with the booking, saying: "I want her added on to the children," in reference to her child minder.

User @helsmcp further explained to the client that her "children were in fact in Standard class, but you're in Business Premier" to which the woman snapped back "Yes, and?", adding for her to "make the booking".

The video ended with her saying she was "absolutely outraged and shocked" by the interaction and asking social media if they thought "that was as shocking as she thought."

Comments on the video fired up with a host of responses from outraged parents, with one user writing: "Why bother even having kids then".

However, interestingly, the majority of the comments didn't seem too shocked by such actions with one humorously commenting that she'd "put my kids on separate planes".

Another user even went on to praise the high-end client for considering those in business class saying: "My perspective, she was very mindful of the other business class passengers.

"Nothing worse than kids (or babies) on business, 99% ruin the experience for everyone."

Another commented: "Stop being judgemental when it was none of your business, so much for wanting to help you didn't offer a free upgrade for the kids and God forbid a tired mother wants to enjoy a flight".
