Paris Masters news: Star suffers big upset as organisers respond to Jannik Sinner drama

, and are among the stars competing for the Paris Masters title this week. The final Masters 1000 event of the year begins on Monday with several big-hitters in action across the seven days.

All three top-ranked players will enter the tournament in the second round. Sinner has been given a tough draw that could see him go up against Ben Shelton in his first outing.

There will no Novak Djokovic in Paris, though. The Serb gave a blunt statement revealing his absence, telling fans: "Unfortunately I won't be playing this year. Sorry to everyone who was hoping to see me play there."
