A video featuring an Arab Muslim Zionist engaging in a debate with college students about Israel and the ongoing conflict has gained attention on social media. The man, who identifies as an Arab Muslim supporter of Israel, questions people on why they oppose Israel, sparking a deeper discussion about Zionism, genocide, and the current war.In the video, a woman asks the man how he can support Israel, to which he responds, “There are more than 53 Muslim countries. There are more than 63 Christian countries. There’s only one Jewish country. So, why would I not support the only Jewish country that exists?”When asked about the ongoing situation, the woman argues that Israel’s objective is to erase Palestine. The man counters by questioning her definition of genocide and disputing claims that millions of Palestinians have been killed since 1947. He further contrasts the situation with the Saudi and Iranian regimes’ actions in Yemen, stating, "Saudi Arabia has committed genocide in Yemen... but you don't want to get rid of them; you want to get rid of Israel?"The debate touches on the nature of Zionism, with the man explaining, “You literally said that you believe that Jews should have a country. That’s what Zionism means.” As the conversation continues, he argues that the conflict cannot be resolved peacefully when terrorists like Hamas refuse negotiation, pointing out, "They are using Palestinians as human shields."Other participants in the video express their thoughts on the situation, with one individual saying, "I don't think the Israelis have been trying hard enough," referring to failed negotiations with Hamas over hostage deals. The man rebuts that Israel is dealing with a complex war, where civilian casualties are inevitable because Hamas hides in civilian areas. The discussion ends on a hopeful note, with the man encouraging dialogue between Jews and Muslims: "You should talk to Jewish people. You will be so surprised at how awesome they are."
