Trust Queen Zendaya to slay at every red-carpet event. On Saturday night at the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, Zendaya wore an archival Bob Mackie Couture piece from the Fall 2001 ‘Foreign Intrigue’ collection. She made an appearance on the red carpet at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio, in a nude illusion halter gown that paid homage to singer Cher. She also had the honour of inducting Cher into the Hall of Fame."White silk satin trench coat with a dramatic collar and cuffs, embroidered in gold and diamond iridescent bugle beads and stones," stated Bob Mackie's official Instagram page. The gown is "entirely hand-beaded in gold, diamond, and iridescent bugle beads and aurora borealis stones." Her gown featured a twisted halterneck and an open bodice with golden straps crisscrossing her abdomen, attached to a low-rise skirt that exposed her hip muscles.

Zendaya's archival gown was similar to the one worn by Cher in 1972, and it was also a Mackie creation. Cher has been a muse for Mackie since 1967 after he dressed her for an appearance on the Carol Burnett Show.Styled by Law Roach, the actor accessorised her look with Christian Louboutin’s So Kate pumps. The favourite autumn fashion accessory—stacked bangles—was also sported by the star. She wore her hair straight, with a middle parting, a style that's signature to Cher. Roach has previously dressed Zendaya in head-turning vintage looks. For the Dune press tour, she wore a 1995 Couture Mugler ensemble featuring a cyborg suit with silver metallic panelling and clear plexiglass.
