Jhunjhunu: Khatu Shyamji Sadar police have solved the murder of retired soldier Gheesalal Sharma (51), who was killed on the night of March 7 in Likhma ka Bas village, Sikar district. Four suspects, including the main accused Amit Kumar Mishra (24), have been arrested.
SP Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav said the investigation revealed that Amit Mishra believed Sharma had a large sum of money and plotted his murder out of greed. He initially failed in his attempt but later summoned three accomplices from Uttar Pradesh to execute the plan.
The arrested accomplices are Anuj Mishra (19) from Bela Sarai Gaja, Vidhur Pandit (26) from Dhai village, and Abhay (22) from Manjasarifpur. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to breaking into Sharma's house and killing him with a sharp weapon during a robbery attempt.
Police said Amit had previously conspired to kill Sharma but was unsuccessful. All four are now in custody, and further interrogation is underway.
