Amitabh Bachchan is someone who has travelled with the history of Indian cinema. From black and white to colour, and then from films to digital, he has been part of the transition. Big B recently opened up about how the nature of the workers changed after the introduction of VFX and AI.
During The Indian Express event, Amitabh Bachchan recalled the time when the production workers used to work assiduously. The legendary actor spoke about how some walked barefoot, just about wearing very soiled pajama kurtas and coming to work and doing all kinds of very dangerous work like climbing up the tarafas on their own.
Amitabh also expressed that back in the time, there was always the fear of these workers falling and also there were a few incidents including some serious injuries. He added that things have changed now, and crew members have better communication on set because of improvements in technology. “And I notice the workers today and I see all of them in very modern attire. Jeans and t-shirts and wearing sneakers and all of them wearing these walkie-talkie sets so they can communicate,” he added.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan’s recent outing was ‘Vettaiyan’ starring Rajinikanth. The film also marked the Tamil debut of Amitabh Bachchan. ETimes rated the film 3 out of 5 and the review reads, “Commercial cop stories often come with a lot of loud flaunting. The hero can shoot without looking at the subject, he oozes swagger every time he gets out of the cop car. For obvious reasons, Newton’s Law of Gravity does not exist. TJ Gnanavel’s latest outing with Rajinikanth, Vettaiyan, ticks all these boxes. Overall, the movie is a predictable investigative thriller-social drama that packs several ‘Rajini moments’ for fans to cherish."
