Continuing his red-hot form, Marsh notched up his third fifty of the 2025 season with a fluent 60 off 31 balls, featuring nine fours and two sixes. His scores in the tournament now read: 72 (36), 52 (31), 0 (1) and 60 (31), underscoring his consistency at the top.
Marsh’s innings came to an end in the seventh over when mystery spinner Vignesh Puthur struck. Attempting to clip a tossed-up delivery, Marsh got a leading edge that looped back to Puthur, who completed a sharp catch in his follow-through.
Marsh and Aiden Markram’s 76-run opening stand set the tone for LSG after MI skipper Hardik Pandya opted to bowl first.
