Paulson Adebo sustained a severe leg injury during Thursday Night FootballSaints cornerback Paulson Adebo sustained a serious femur injury during a game, necessitating immediate surgery, as the latest in a series of injuries for the struggling team. “We’re dealing with a lot of injuries right now, and that’s not an excuse. I don’t want anybody to misconstrue that as an excuse. But it is an issue for us, and I think all of us are trying to fight through that,” Allen said.

Asked if he has ever experienced a team suffering as many injuries as this year’s Saints have, Allen answered, “No.” Broken femurs are rare in the NFL . Previously Adebo broke his femur in a game on December 9, 2009, but was back on the field for the 2010 season opener. The Saints hope Adebo can return to the field soon.

He played in 100% of the Saints' defensive snaps in Week 2 against the Carolina Panthers. In Week 3 against the New England Patriots, Adebo recorded five solo tackles, a second career interception off Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke, and another pass break-up against the Seattle Seahawks. In Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles, Adebo recorded four solo tackles.
