As things stand, Call of Duty Warzone Mobile will not get any further updates. It’s a sad ending for a huge mobile title which actually had so much potential, but never fulfilled it. However, players can still access present content and play the game with their friends.
Call of Duty Warzone Mobile was released on March 21, 2024, in hope to bring the COD battle royale fandom to mobiles as well. Warzone is an absolute banger from Activision on PCs and consoles, so its mobile counterpart was supposed to carry forward that popularity as well, but that didn’t happen.
Call of Duty Warzone mobile will be permanently delisted
Despite generating an initial revenue of $1.6 million, Activision has decided to delist Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. That means the game won’t receive any further seasonal content and regular updates going forward. May 18, 2025 is going to be the last day when people will be able to download the game officially from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Besides that, the game’s social linkings will be abolished as well.
However, if players have installed the game beforehands May 19, then they can continue playing the game and enjoying the already existing seasonal content in the game. Online servers will be active as well, so matchmaking will be available. It’s just that, they won’t be getting any new content or not any kind of in-game support regarding bugs and glitches as Activision is going to stop developing for the game entirely.
Those who are thinking about their Season 3 Battle Passes, need not worry as they can still progress on it even after the game is delisted. But there won’t be any Season 4 unlike in Call of Duty Warzone for PCs and consoles.
Players will also be able to access their COD accounts and shared in-game possessions through cross-progression for the already available content in the game. Players who have unredeemed COD points in their account can redeem them as well for pre-existing content in the in-game store, which won’t be updated further.
It’s actually quite shocking at the beginning that Activision would take such a decision. But if you look at the tenure of Warzone Mobile closely, then we can understand that this was coming. The mobile port never made justice to its PC and console counterparts.
With hoards of bugs and glitches, the game was huge in size as well for a mobile game. Also, players didn’t like the idea of unlocking better graphics as they progressed further. If you want to play, install the game and keep it in your library, you have time until May 18, 2025.
