NEW DELHI: A fire broke out at Lucknow's Lok Bandhu Hospital on Monday after which all the patients were safely shifted. There has been no case of casualty.
Uttar Pradesh deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, who reached the spot, said there is "nothing to worry about".
"Smoke was detected on the ground floor. The hospital staff immediately started shifting the patients. Around 200 patients have been shifted. Serious patients have been sent to KGMU. Some have also been sent to the civil hospital. There is nothing to worry about now. Fire workers are inside the building and firefighting operations are underway... There are no casualties. All patients are safe. 2-3 patients who were serious have been shifted to the ICU ward of KGMU," Pathak said.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has also taken cognisance of the incident.
