In his victory speech, Trump thanked the supporters for electing him back and said this period would usher in a new era of national reconciliation.
"I want to thank the American people for the extraordinary honour of being elected your 47th president, and your 45th president," he said. "America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate. We have taken back control of the Senate – wow that's good," Trump declared to his supporters in Florida.

Australian Prime Minster Antony Albanese took to X and congratulated Donald Trump, who is now set to become the 47th president of US.
"Congratulations to President Donald Trump on his election victory".
The Australian PM also expressed working with its close ally and ensure partnership not only at the government but also on a people to people level.
"Australians and Americans are great friends and true allies. Working together, we can ensure the partnership between our nations and peoples remains strong into the future," he said.

Meanwhile, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who had met Donald Trump even during his visit to the US recently, congratulated on what he called "greatest comeback".
The Israeli PM said that Trump's historic return would usher a new beginning of new relationship between the Jewish state and US.
"Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America," he said
"This is a huge victory! In true friendship, yours, Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu," he added.
Pakistan Prime Minsiter Shehbaz Sharif also joined in and congratulated the new president-elect for his second term. He further added that he hoped for new administration to strengthen the relationship between Pakistand and US.

New elected Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba also congratulated Trump and assured that his government would work closely with the new administration in Washington to foster growth in the relationship.
French president Emmanuel Macron also congratulated Donald Trump for closing in on a victory and said both the countries will work for more peace and prosperity.

UK's prime minister Keir Stammer extended wishes to Trump and said he looks forward to work with the new administration in the US. From growth and security to innovation and tech, he said that "UK-US special relationship" will continue to grow on both sides of the Atlantic.

Italian leader Giorgia Meloni also congratulated President-elect Trump for his re-election. "On behalf of myself and the Italian Government, my most sincere congratulations to the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump ". She further stressed that Italy and the United States are “sister” nations held by an unshakable alliance, common values, and a historic friendship.
"It is a strategic bond, which I am sure we will now strengthen even further," she said.

Orban had said earlier this week that Europe would need to rethink its support of Ukraine if Trump was re-elected president.
The Kremlin said that it would judge Donald Trump, who has claimed victory in the US presidential election, on his actions.
"We will draw conclusions based on concrete steps and concrete words," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, adding that he was "not aware of the president's plans to congratulate Trump on the election", since the US is an "unfriendly country".

Meanwhile, Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Donald Trump voicing hopes for "strong bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States."
"Congratulations to Donald Trump on his impressive election victory!" Zelensky said on X.
President Zelenskkyy who met Donald Trump recently on his visit to the US said, "I recall our great meeting with President Trump back in September, when we discussed in detail the Ukraine-US strategic partnership, the Victory Plan, and ways to put an end to Russian aggression against Ukraine."
Washington has positioned itself as Ukraine's leading military supporter under US President Joe Biden.
Given turbulent transatlantic relations in Trump's previous term, his past strong criticism of Nato, his ambivalent view of Ukraine's fight against Russia's invasion and stance on climate change, many European officials had said ahead of the election they were worried about a win for Trump. However, after the victory, EU leaders congratulated Donald Trump and said they were ready to work together but would defend Europe's interests.
European Council President Charles Michel congratulated Donald Trump on his claimed victory in the US presidential election, affirming the "enduring alliance and historic bond" between the European Union and the United States.
Michel said that the EU will continue to advance its strategic agenda, aiming to be a "strong, united, competitive, and sovereign partner" while upholding a rules-based multilateral system. His message reflects the EU’s commitment to a stable transatlantic relationship under Trump’s leadership.
