YouTube couple Rissa G. and Shaquan Roberts, known to millions as Riss & Quan, are finally speaking out after their baby’s name, “Secure,” sparked huge online talk. The YouTubers, who have more than 3.3 million subscribers, told TMZ they were shocked by how many people disliked the name. They said they thought fans would love it and that the name shows “strength” and “security” in their bond as a family.
Rissa and Quan explained that they chose the name because it means a lot to them personally. They also said they’re happy more parents today are using creative and meaningful names for their kids. “It’s special to us,” they told TMZ, adding that they wanted a name that reflected how strong and safe they feel together as a couple and as parents.
The couple said the online backlash has started to fade, and many people now support their choice. They shared that being confident in their decision makes them feel even closer. Rissa said she hopes new parents will listen to their hearts instead of online opinions.
