India gets its first taste of Lamborghini’s latest plug-in hybrid supercar with a V8 engine and 907 bhp output.

Lamborghini Temerario: A New Era of Electrified Performance

Lamborghini India has officially introduced the Temerario, its third hybrid model and a direct successor to the Huracan, at a starting price of ₹6 crore (ex-showroom). Making its global debut in August 2024, the Temerario now enters the Indian market as part of the Italian supercar maker’s push towards electrification without compromising performance.

Powertrain: 907 BHP of Combined Fury

The Temerario is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 907 bhp and 2,150 Nm of torque. The petrol engine alone churns out 789 bhp and 730 Nm, while the electric motors contribute an additional 295 bhp.

  • 0 to 100 kmph: Just 2.7 seconds

  • Top Speed: 343 kmph

  • Battery: 3.8 kWh unit, fully rechargeable in 30 minutes via 7 kW AC charger

  • Features: Regenerative braking for efficient on-the-go charging

This setup marks a significant upgrade over the Huracan, embracing Lamborghini’s new PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle) strategy, as previously seen in the Revuelto.

Design and Features: Shark-Inspired Aggression

The Temerario showcases Lamborghini’s aggressive new design philosophy:

  • Front: Shark-nose fascia, low-slung spoiler, hexagonal LED DRLs

  • Rear: Hexagonal taillights, centrally mounted exhaust, aggressive aerodynamics

  • Wheels: 20-inch (front), 21-inch (rear) with optional carbon-fibre rims

The car rides on an aluminium spaceframe chassis offering 24% more torsional rigidity than the Huracan’s frame. For stopping power, it’s equipped with 410 mm front discs (10-piston callipers) and 390 mm rear discs (4-piston callipers).

Track enthusiasts can opt for the Alleggerita package, shaving 25 kg off the car’s dry weight of 1,715 kg, thanks to enhanced carbon fibre use.

Cockpit and Technology: Fighter Jet Inspired Cabin

Inside, the Temerario offers a high-tech, driver-centric experience:

  • Displays: 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.4-inch vertical infotainment screen, 9.1-inch co-driver screen

  • Comfort: Heated and ventilated, electrically adjustable seats

  • Drive Modes: 13 modes, including hybrid-specific (Recharge, Hybrid, Performance) and classic Lamborghini modes (Strada, Sport, Corsa)

  • Drift Mode: 3-level controlled drift functionality
